Florida to all fifty states
A death away from home should not become a burden. We take your loved one into our care anywhere we serve in Florida and deliver them to the funeral home you choose, in any state. Everything is arranged by telephone and email.
Domestic shipping starts at $1,990. Airfare is billed separately at cost.
A parent who retired to Florida, a loved one who passed while visiting. We bring them home to the funeral home you choose, and you never have to travel down here to arrange it.
Trade service in your name. We handle the removal, the sheltering, the permits and the transport, and return the file complete. Your name stays on the arrangement.
Transport benefits handled end to end, with documented costs and one point of contact for adjusters rather than a different number for every stage.
Florida sees more of these than anywhere else in the country. A parent retires to the Gulf Coast, a grandmother visits for the winter, a family takes a holiday, and a death happens hundreds or thousands of miles from where the rest of the family lives and where the burial plot already is. What makes it hard is rarely the transport itself; it is that the person handling it is grieving in another state, does not know Florida, and is trying to coordinate two funeral homes who have never spoken. That coordination is the part we take off you.
We suggest ordering between six and ten certified original copies. Most agencies will accept a photocopy, and where they do we recommend giving them one and keeping your certified originals in reserve. Some institutions, typically banks, life insurers, pension administrators and anything involving a property or vehicle title, will insist on a certified original and will not return it. We order the copies at the time of filing rather than making you go back to the county health department later.
For most international destinations, yes. The receiving country and the airline generally require embalming along with a sealing casket, and the certificate signed by the licensed embalmer travels with the shipment. Domestic shipping is more flexible: some routes and receiving funeral homes accept refrigeration instead, particularly where the journey is short. Because the rule depends on the destination and the carrier, we confirm it for your specific case rather than applying a blanket answer.
No. Authorizations are signed electronically and every arrangement can be made by telephone and email, whichever state or country you are calling from. Most of the families we serve are not in Florida at all: they are the son in New Jersey, the daughter in Bogotá, the brother in London. Nothing about the process requires you to get on a plane.
Yes. A significant part of our work is trade service for other funeral homes and for insurance carriers: we handle the removal, the sheltering, the permits and the consular file in your name and return the file complete. You keep the relationship with the family, and your name is the one on the arrangement. Call and ask for trade pricing.
A licensed funeral director answers at any hour, whichever state you are calling from. There is no cost to call and no obligation.
