From Miami to every corner of Miami-Dade County, families rely on Legacy to bring a loved one home, to another state or to any country in the world.
More than half of Miami-Dade's residents were born outside the United States, and Miami International is the busiest gateway to Latin America and the Caribbean in the country. Repatriation here is not a specialty service, it is the ordinary expectation, and consulates for nearly every destination are in the county itself.
Families we serve from Miami-Dade County most often ask about Cuba, Haiti and Colombia. Whichever the destination, consular requirements are confirmed before a flight is booked, and the shipment departs Miami International (MIA).

For Miami-Dade County we normally depart Miami International (MIA). If another Florida airport gets your loved one home sooner or at lower cost, we will tell you and use that one instead.
Most shipments leaving Miami-Dade County depart within three to seven days of the first call. The variable is the destination consulate and how quickly the county issues the death certificate, not the flight itself.
Shipping to another state starts at $1,990, and international shipping at $5,995 with the sealing casket included. Airfare is separate and billed at cost with no mark-up. Families in Miami and across Miami-Dade County receive a written price before anything is authorized, and nothing is added afterward.
A member of our staff, not an answering service. Whether you are calling from Miami or from another country, a licensed funeral director picks up. Deaths do not keep business hours and neither do we.
A licensed funeral director will call you back. For an immediate need, calling is faster and someone will answer.
